Do you have PhD positions for Fall 2027?
Yes, I am actively looking for new PhD students. I am based in the Robotics Department, so I encourage you to apply to the University of Michigan Robotics PhD program; students in the CSE PhD program can also work with me. Please mention my name in your statement of purpose. Rest assured that your application will be considered even if you do not email me separately.
Should I email you before applying?
Emailing me before applying is not at all necessary—mentioning my name in your application is enough. If you do choose to email, rest assured that I will read your message, even if I am unable to reply. Please don’t be discouraged if you don’t hear back.
